"Pylon has excisted exactly from the change of the Millennium! It's an duo of Tero Niskanen and Roope Eronen, who both are also known from the line-up of Avarus. Pylon's music has been varying from free folk to quite structured experimental pieces. This compilation contains about 20 short pieces that all have been cut out from the releases for some reasons. The result is a relentless bunch of strange sounds, naive humour, DIY psychedelia and living room experiments."

REVIEWS:
"some percussive clatter and the wailings and squeakings of a very dodgy synth - more oddities from Finland" Boa Melody Bar
"pylon, not the early 80's american new wave band (who were great also!), but the lallallal fin noise, free-?, percussive psych, weird-thingy. this is an another must-explore project from avarus-related tricksters: short cut-up xylophone jamz & monster voices, sputtering machines & rocket drums, toy laser guns & effects pedals, gibbons with casios, hawkwind or chrome played by drugged-out moomintrolls & smurfs. i'm waiting patiently for the upcoming cd on lvd..." Glenn Donaldson, Jewelled Antler
"A very mixed bag of teensy-weeny outakes, slip ups, tape-sluicing, and source materials that apparently never made it near this Finnish master craftsmens more reknowned recordings. Nicely bonkers, deeply listenable... even this mans trash is treasure." Campbell Kneale, Celebrate Psi Phenomenon
"Prior to this, Pylon have released a 7", a couple of cdr's and possibly also something else. I don't know if the duo still exists, but the title of the disc makes me presume that the 18 untitled tracks that we have here are all the unreleased leftover material from their archives. The tracks are short pieces of outsider music weirdness, more or less intentionally funny and "stupid". They utilize guitars, different percussions, electronics, vocals, etc, and the whole 20 minutes is quite varied. With this kind of music, you never know if it's a joke (a bad thing) or if the artists are actually serious with what they're doing (a good thing). Also, this kind of music seldom has much musical value, but if it's serious and honest, it's a great example of purposefulness and untamed willingness to create something of one's own." Pekka PT, Dilettante's Digest
"Maybe a little unsubstantial. There are like 20 tracks or something on this, so it doesn't really focus on anything, instead it's like a hyperactive kid running around shoving candy in his/her mouth. But, within the crazed pace they are able to build a pretty good vibe. I just wish it were stretched out a bit more. Noisy, chaotic noises and some droning. Good times. 7/10" Dick Baldwin, Landing
