SPECIAL NOTE from Birds of Delay: "Our track is REALLY quiet on this release, due to how it was recorded. So you'll have to turn it right up (I'm not joking!). We hadn't heard Goldblood before this, but their track really rocks!"

REVIEWS:
"one track each: Birds of Delay offer up a maze of bird calls in a fog of synth drone / noise. Goldblood is Plastic Crimewave and Amy Cargill, psych guitar spiralling into delay feedback and ominous organ" Boa Melody Bar
"CD-R-puolelta mainittakoon ensinnä 267 lattajjaan julkaisema Birds of Delayn ja Goldbloodin splitti. Täysmustan levyn sisältä löytyy kultakin yhtyeeltä pitkähkö, yli varttituntinen kappale. Birds of Delay tarjoaa tumman "Dreamt Afterbirth"-dronen, joka vie kuulijan yllättävän monipuoliselle matkalle näennäisestä staattisuudestaan huolimatta. Goldbloodin "The Agony Booth" puolestaan on kitaran ja urkujen live-psykeilyä. Kokonaisuus toimii kappaleiden samantapaisen tunnelman vuoksi, ja toisaalta yhtyeet ovat tarpeeksi erilaiset lähestymistavoiltaan, jotta levyn "puoliskot" eivät tunnu liiaksi samalta." Jaakob Karhu
"The BoD-track (17 minutes or so) is the more quiet side of them. Other stuff I've heard has been outlandishly loud and recorded live, mastered in the red probably. Here they use the same recipe of feedback and swirling drones but you need to get a bit closer to your stereo than usual. Easier to pick out the different sounds these guys create and perhaps more rewarding with time. I would say it's a good outburst, wouldn't mind more in the same vein from them.
Goldblood is a Plastic Crimewave-related affair with guitars and organ that ascends but then touches ground again a few times during the 16 minutes it occupies your speakers. A bumpy flight that never really takes off. Always the most disappointing trips." eatyourown
