REVIEWS:
"Brittiläisen Choran nimeämätön levy on ensikuulemalla hämmentävä kokemus. Jotenkin psykedeeliseen musiikkiin on onnistuttu yhdistämään pakahduttava kauneus ja erittäin hermoja koetteleva rumuus. Eikä näitä piirteitä voi edes mitenkään sormella osoittamalla erottaa toisistaan. Salakavalan taitavasti rakennettua ääntä. Erityisesti "Moist Friends" on vahva." Jaakob Karhu

"I last came across Chora on First Person and that wonderful "Singing Knives" compilation. An overwhelmingly kaleidoscopic array of noise of the "lots of people playing things all at once" type - things get blown, shaken, strummed, fingered and there may well be strange mewling and vocalising going on too somewhere in the depths. Great stuff, in a toddlers-on-acid way." Boa Melody Bar

"New CDR release from former Sheffield based 'pretty boys'. Bunches of instruments played into total obscurity. For some reason this makes me think of some old Animal Collective stuff, exactly much it really does though I dunno. maybe with a little bit of Axolotl fuzz thrown in? Comes in a totally DIY looking sleeve with some dude on the front. 3 tracks, 45 minutes!" Blackest Rainbow

"First full-length album from this UK group who work communal post-Vibracathedral polyphony into primitive drone forms." Volcanic Tongue

"Chora create massive slabs of psychedelic chaos employing a whole plethora of instrumentation and sound manipulation, taking the listener on an amazing and at points frightening kaleidoscopic journey. Beginning with a massive, chaotic stew of sound Chora allow their music to develop from an almost out of control cacophony to subtle drones and loops that shift from light to dark. In fact its amazing how many places are visited within each composition, as the transitions are so subtly dealt with that one does not even notice how far one has traveled from the beginning to the end of the longer works.

The only issue that I really take with this recording is that each track ends abruptly. I would really like to hear the tracks morph into one another or simply dissipate before beginning the next as this is a jarring and discomforting manner in which to end a fantastic head-trip. 8/10"
